The British Library
- Analyse content and usage
- Provide basis for streamlining web content
- Inform user-experience for longer term web strategy
- Produce a clear, detailed, and intuitive visualisation of the entire British Library web offer that will allow a range of stakeholders to understand what is there and how much it is used
In association with specialist accessibility and user experience agency Nomensa, Spencer was brought in to help formulate a strategy to assess and rationalise the British Library’s 6 million + page website.
We conducted interviews with stakeholders; ran workshops with content authors and conducted an assessment of over 300 pages of content. Once the analytics were complete, we developed a formula to measure the value of each section or page.
We produced visualisations for the British Library Web Steering Committee to facilitate their own assessment and decision-making.
